What is the best drain cleaner for hair clogs?

I%26#039;d love to put a screen over the drain hole in my shower but the drain stopper is not removable (believe me, I%26#039;ve tried!). Other than snaking the drain, what is the best way to clean the drain of clogged hair?

What is the best drain cleaner for hair clogs?
draino, or get you something to pull the hair clog out of drain with
Reply:Fill the shower up with water and use a plunger. Or unscrew the drain... the hair usually is within reach and clings together in a glob (for lack of a better word). Just grab the glob and screw the drain back on.
Reply:Any of the modern ones work on hair. The old crystal version of Draino is lye which is hazardous to you and your pipes though.
Reply:Believe it or not, I%26#039;ve had the best success with a crochet hook (like a knitting needle but with a slight hook on the end). You can find them at craft stores for generally under $2, and it won%26#039;t damage your drain. If the hair clog is further along the pipe, I%26#039;d recommend a drain snake to blast thru the clog.

Good luck!
